The Surgical Technologist provides assistance and support to surgeons by preparing and providing instruments and equipment during surgical procedures in the operating room. The Scrub Tech works under the supervision of the surgeon and facilitates a safe, effective and orderly operating room to maximize patient safety.
Presbyterian Rust Medical Center has 10 operating rooms. Sign-on bonus available based upon level of experience.

Presbyterian Rust Medical Center is conveniently located for pateitns and members living on Albuquerque's west side - offering patient-centered, environmentally friendly and technologically innovative care. Presbyterian Rust Medical Center (RMC) features:
A family birthing unit offering midwifery and obstetrics services, including triage for pregnant patients and private, spacious labor and delivery rooms.
Presbyterian Breast Care, for both malignant and benign breast disease, where patients with new cancer diagnoses can receive a same-day consultation with a breast radiologist, breast surgeon, medical oncologist, and radiation oncologist, depending on their clinical needs.
A physician office building offering a wide variety of outpatient services, including cardiology, surgical care, orthopedics and podiatry, neurology, OB/GYN, bariatric and weight loss services, and more.
An emergency department designed to decrease treatment time and triage patients to help them receive the most appropriate care.
An intensive care unit (ICU) that combines the latest technology with skilled physicians and nurses who are both onsite and connected 24/7. Using sophisticated, real-time video feeds and communication tools, our ICU provides an extra layer of care to seriously ill patients.

New and experienced Surgical Techs are encouraged to apply For experienced Surgical Techs, level II or III positions may be available.
Surgical Tech - Requirements :
HS Diploma or GED plus short-term training in operating room setting or graduate of surgical technician certification from an accredited school or training program required.
Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment and a working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique.
Minimum of 2+ years experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room if not from an accredited training program.
