Solutions Architect Director

Job Title: Solutions Architect Director Location: Boston MA 02110 Hybrid onsite - Tue/Wed/Thu Onsite Requirements: Proficient in AWS Cloud Architecture, Services, and Patterns (some candidates refer to this as API & Services development in Cloud) Demonstrates strong software development experience in Server-Side technologies like Java, Node.js, Python and Client-Side technologies like HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular. Deep understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprise Function: To architect, design and modernize the technology systems that we rely on every day and to grow, and partner with product and engineering teams to build and manage these systems to solve business issues effectively. Primary Responsibilities: Partner with product owners and technical leaders to develop future architectural vision by understanding business goals and capabilities. Develop and collaborate on establishing architecture standards, patterns and practices with other architects to be used repeatedly across solutions. Lead end-to-end functional and technical solution design for cloud-based solutions, SaaS solutions and vendor products. Define architectural standards, principles and the governance framework and processes to manage stakeholder decisions and safeguard the integrity of the solution architecture. Provide technical oversight, leading solution architecture related tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents and code reviews. Enforce and maintains compliance with Enterprise Architecture, Technology - Security and Resiliency Standards and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning and best practices. Execute knowledge management, thought leadership and innovation activities; act as an advisor and mentor to architectural and technical resources providing guidance and motivation. Promote the secure software development lifecycle best practices among peers and other technical staff. Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers; may act as career advisor to technical team members. Collaborate with Technical governance on security, risk management, compliance, data governance related activities. Develop and maintain a very broad set of knowledge across the full technology spectrum and latest industry innovations. Be a subject matter expert for development teams as part of implementation. Document and maintain product architecture for solutions architecture and technology portfolio; make recommendations for improvements and/or alternatives. Job Requirements: 10+ years of industry experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions in multiple technology platforms, frameworks, and languages. Ability to provide technical leadership, prepare design artifacts, and implement solutions for agile teams. You will drive the end-to-end solutions architecture design and ownership and articulate the design to the product owners, agile teams, and architecture leadership. Ability to engage with multiple squads to deliver architecture artifacts, drive issue resolution, wellness plans, and product roadmaps. Ability to analyze business direction, understand the long-term vision, and quantify the risk/benefits in developing strategic technical solutions. Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with product owners, architects, and technical leads for individual products and applications. Proven experience in architecture, including scalability, resilience, security, and data architecture. Proficient in Cloud Architecture, Services, and Patterns Experience in DevSecOps and authoring CI/CD automation. Deep understanding of well architected framework implementation in Enterprise: Operation Excellent, Security, Reliability, Performance Efficiency and Cost optimization. Demonstrated strong software development experience in Server-Side technologies like Java, Node.js, Python and Client-Side technologies like HTML 5, JavaScript, CSS3, Angular. Ability to work both independently and with all levels of the organization, including technical and non-technical team members. Passion for technology, not limiting yourself to a set of languages or frameworks. Track record of critical thinking and translating business needs into technology solutions. Strong presentation skills: written and verbal communication including the ability to influence and negotiate resolution of issues and conflicts. Experience in cloud technologies and practices, building and deploying applications using either AWS or Azure or both. Cloud certification preferred. Strong Domain knowledge / Financial Industry experience preferred. bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or related field. Responsibilities: Build best in class analytics platform (based around Snowflake and Tableau) for our business teams to gain insights from our data. Collaborate with Product owners, Analytics Lead, Scrum Master, and Development teams to build effective data integration pipelines and Rest APIs on hosted data. Mentor new or junior team members and participate in code reviews. Collaborate in design, development, and implementation of software and data solutions. Collaborate with development team in building innovative, event driven, API-first cloud native solutions using AWS platform, Snowflake, Snaplogic, Tableau, Python and Rest APIs iteratively deliver high quality products to enable our investment business, operations, analytics, and Client reporting. Skills You Bring: A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a similar field 5+ years of software and or data engineering experience Strong implementation experience with snowflake ecosystem, knowledge of Snowflake architecture and concepts Strong background in modeling and building data warehouses. Strong working experience in Snowflake using warehouses, stored procedures, streams, snow pipes, tasks, stages, storage integration, ingestion frameworks and tools etc. Ability to develop ELT/ETL pipelines to move data to and from Snowflake data store using combination of Python, dbt and SnowSQL. Strong experience in ETL/ELT technologies such as Snaplogic Hands on experience building cloud native applications using AWS or Azure Good hands-on experience with scheduling tools such as Airflow, Control M, Autosys Excellent SQL skills, writing SQL stored procedures and functions. Experience in leading teams, propose design, establish best practices and engineering discipline. Experience building reports, dashboards, and visualizations with business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred. Experience with build/deploy automation & DevOps frameworks. Familiarity in building and consuming APIs (REST, API Gateway, etc.) Possessing outstanding technical and analytical skills with strong business knowledge in the investment services domain Good project management, experience in Agile methodologies (Kanban and SCRUM), communication, and interpersonal skills Strong hands-on experience with requirements gathering analysis, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and review.
