The RN Educator/ WOC nurse uses the educational design process to close the knowledge, skills, and/or practice gaps identified through needs assessment and to impact evidence-based practice.
Seeks to be the content expert in the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and incontinence.
Applies a systematic process to shift individuals, teams, and organizations from current state to desired state and close performance gaps.
Applies a variety of learning technologies to address learning and performance needs, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote collaboration.
Provides leadership to project and learning activity implementation, scientifically measuring the impact on organizational goals.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited school, master’s degree in nursing is preferred
~ Working knowledge of supplies, vendors and DME for wound and ostomy care
~ educating nurses with varying levels of education and experience so they can support clinic needs
collaborative teamwork and support between inpatient and outpatient wound / ostomy care
