Do you want to work as Polysomnography Technologist where your passion for creating positive patient interactions are valued? If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity. Responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety and perform proper operation of all sleep lab equipment, scoring of sleep studies, and preparation of patients for sleep studies. Must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span, the ability to assess data reflective of the status of neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient. Provides the care needed as described in the policies and procedures of the sleep lab.
Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Certified as a Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT), or Certified Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialty (CRT-SDS), or Registered Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialty (RRT-SDS), or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST).
