We are looking for a Data Scientist/Data Analyst to work on-site in San Francisco. Transportation industry knowledge and Government experience a plus. Local candidates only.

Skills – Power BI 3 + years, Tableau 2 + years

Job functions include -

  • Link data from separate systems together (Salesforce, GTMS, Oracle, Tableau, MS Power BI, MS Access, Verint/311, various Excel spreadsheets, paper).
  • Test existing data, test integrations, QA/QC, and create data dashboards.
  • Provide data samples to support issuance and legal defense/appeals/settlements/hearings.
  • Work with Client statistician to assess/develop data ‘usability’ statistics. Document defective content.
  • Write user stories as needed to support requirements and testing. Develop source-to-target mapping (including ETL transformations) for new/revised requirements.
  • Via ad hoc SQL querying, profile data for compliance.
  • Work with “big data sets” and table partitions. This is not SQL programming.
  • Do complex SQL JOINs, in whole or in part without a data model.
  • Contribute to data model(s) and data dictionary(s).
  • The contractor will help with complex data analysis associated with the current lawsuits, appeals, proposed settlements, and implementing such settlements.
  • The contractor will support staff to move towards automating systems and processes to help serve applicants online.
  • The contractor will help transition the Reporting and Data Analysis functions to users.
