Job Description: Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a skilled Millwright / Machine Parts Inspector / Machinist in Portland, OR. This position requires a person with extensive training and machine shop experience. Selected candidate would work in a specialized machine shop, inspect machined parts and perform routine maintenance or repair of machinery when required. Specific projects would also be assigned to this individual involving a wide range of skills. Candidates would need to have experience in light electrical (wiring), light mechanical, sweat soldering & MiG welding. Candidates should be familiar and experienced with general machine shop equipment, i.e. lathes, mills saws, grinders, overhead cranes etc., and would need to be able to pass forklift certification training.




Shift: 8:00am-5:00pm M-F with occasional overtime required.




Pay rate: $20-$30/hr DOE




Millwright responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Maintaining machine shop equipment

- Machining parts when required on manual machines

- Perform regular inspections of finished machine parts

- Ensure that work bench area is clean and in order

- Co-ordinate with Production Manager and Shop Foreman




Millwright Experience and Skills:

- Min. 3-5 years experience in industrial or automotive machine shops

- Ability to read drawings

- Ability to work effectively in an industrial-machine shop environment

- Ability to organize and manage priorities
