In support of the Mission of the University this position prepares financial statements for internal and external users. Collects and analyzes financial data, ensuring that all reporting is in compliance GAAP reporting guidelines. Researches accounting rules and regulations and makes recommendations regarding University policy.
Preparation of financial statements in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America.
Provide interim year-end projections/forecasts.
Analyze financial performance and communicate results to management.
Prepare monthly flux analyses and budget reports, including detailed analysis for various budget categories.
Assists in preparation for year-end audit and annual budget process.
Must be willing to contribute actively to the mission of the University as well as show respect for the Catholic and Assumptionist identity of Assumption.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
5 or more years of experience in a finance role with non-profit accounting preferred.
Strong Excel and Word computer skills required.
Interacts on a daily basis with University personnel and other outside agencies.
