Summary
Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking an hourly locums Optometrist to join our Eye Care Department. This position is based at our Tacoma-Sprague Court Eye Care Center, with additional option to provide clinical support at our Federal Way, Olympia, Port Orchard, Puyallup, and Silverdale Medical Centers in Washington State. This position is ideal for those living in Tacoma or the Kitsap Peninsula.
Optometrists at Kaiser Permanente provide full-scope eye care in a multi-disciplinary setting, including the diagnosis and management of ocular health and visual function as well as ophthalmic manifestations of systemic disease and medications.
Our medical centers are fully equipped with the latest technologies and our teams includes skilled, well-trained, certified ophthalmic techs that provide support to our doctors. We have a full service Optical dispensary and Epic electronic medical records at all practice locations.
As a condition of employment, all clinicians and employees are required to verify COVID-19 vaccination status. As part of the pre-boarding process and before starting work, you will be required to verify your vaccination status, and will be provided an opportunity to apply for an accommodation based on a religious or medical reason, if needed.

Qualifications
Education
Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited School of Optometry.
Experience
All applicants must possess a full range of clinical skills and an interest in working with an innovative group practice.
Preferred: Completion of one-year Optometry Residency program preferred.
