Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide direct patient care and support to individuals of all ages in various healthcare settings. Your role will involve administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with patient assessments.
Pay Details
40 Hrs./Wk.= $1600 Per week
Blended Pay = $40.00hr.
Weekly Taxable: $600 Per week
weekly Travel stipend :$1000 Per week
OT Rate:$47.50/hr.
Responsibilities:
Shift:2:30p-11p, 40 hrs/week
40 hours week 5x8 Hour
13 week contract
08 Hours a day
Every Other Weekend including holiday rotation if scheduled
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs
- Assist with patient assessments and document findings
- Provide wound care and dressing changes
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens
- Assist with diagnostic procedures such as sonography
- Provide tube feeding and manage enteral nutrition
- Assist with IV insertion and maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques
- Provide case management services for patients in home care settings
- Ensure compliance with hospital standards, protocols, and infection control measures
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing sonography procedures
- Experience with tube feeding techniques and enteral nutrition management
- Familiarity with hospital systems and protocols
- Ability to perform IV insertion and maintenance
- Knowledge of home care practices for patients of all ages, including toddler care
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple patient cases simultaneously
- Ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism
