Systems Security Engineering creates holistic security solutions leveraging Anti-Tamper (AT), Cyber Security, Software Assurance, and Supply Chain Risk Management to support Program Protection Implementation on embedded weapons systems.
The Principal Systems Security Engineer - Anti-Tamper / Cyber Security role requires systems engineering skills that will be used to develop innovative products and solutions to complex systems, including top level requirements development, requirements analysis and allocation, design, verification, integration, and production/field support.
The individual will work with the program and customer in the development of the system, providing strategic input and planning for the system, applications, architecture, and design in a dynamic, agile development environment.
Implement SSE AT and Cyber Security solutions into RTX products
Interact with customer to define SSE AT requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness
Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
Plan and guide SSE AT implementations in customer systems
Developing top-level system requirements, and flowing down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem
Understanding, and compliance with, DoD technology release and export licensing policies
Validate secure configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, servers, operating systems, applications, and other assets, using
DoD approved scanning and assessment tools such as ACAS, STIG, SCAP Compliance Checker, and HBSS
Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 5 years of prior relevant experience. Experience in the fields of System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, Anti Tamper, cybersecurity, or embedded security
Experience designing, implementing, testing, and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies, and guidelines
Experience generating security (anti-tamper, Cyber Security and/or program protection) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans, and/or policies
S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Experience in design, development and fielding of SSE systems
Software, Firmware, & Microelectronics Engineering, Cryptography and FPGA design
Experience in the implementation and business growth of SSE implementation throughout the entire life cycle
Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Business Administration, and/or Robotics
DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years desired
Cyber Certifications in accordance with DoDD 8570/DoDD 8140 such as CISSP, GSLC, CEH
Aircraft/weapons integration experience
Strategic planning and proposal writing skills
Experience contributing in a team environment for the purpose of developing creative solutions to technical problems
