Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) is currently recruiting for an Outpatient Pediatric Physical Therapist to provide care to a varied pediatric caseload from 0 through 13 years old.
This is an exciting opportunity for pediatric physical therapists who are interested in joining a multidisciplinary pediatric care team and support our growing programs for Childhood Obesity clinic, as well as Early Intervention and Infant Mental Health.
This position is available as per-diem, part-time or full-time. Join an existing integrated care team that is collaborative and extremely dedicated to the young patients they serve
Evaluates patients referred to physical therapy, as well as the Childhood Obesity clinic, and Early Intervention.
Consults with Physician, allied health professionals, and other team members. Participates in case conferencing meeting and in program planning meetings. Facilitates training and presentations for staff, patients, and parents/caregivers when applicable.
Communicates regularly with Referral Specialist, Case Management, Care Coordination, and Scheduling staff. Makes recommendations to infant/early childhood or mental health services when dyadic concerns arise.
Provides treatment at different FHCSD clinic sites for increasing patients’ ability to access care.
Current American Heart Association healthcare provider CPR (BLS), or Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Advanced Trauma Life Support, or Advance Resuscitation Training.
Pediatric specific experience required and experience in early intervention (0-3) preferred.
