Monarch Veterinary Hospital in Laguna Niguel is looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team
Our hospital, which was established in 2002, serves the local community as a unique, personable practice. Laguna Niguel is a beautiful coastal community and our hospital is located in a newly remodeled and updated facility. Professionally, we keep ourselves on the cutting edge of technology. We have been a paperless practice from day one, making sure that all patient medical records, including radiographs and ultrasounds, are stored digitally for easy access and readability.
Certified Veterinary Technician Role Requirements*
* Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
* Associate degree in Veterinary Technology
* Monday- Friday with a possible rotating Saturday.
*Certified Veterinary Technician Responsibilities*
* Professional client communication and education obtaining medical histories and symptoms.
* Laboratory procedures including but not limited to: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, microbiology, blood chemistry, and fecals.
* Diagnostic imaging and implementing safety protocols of fellow staff members.
* Nursing skills including restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SUBQ/IM, applying and maintaining bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.
* Competently perform dental prophylaxis
