Registered Nurse - Trauma ICU-
Unit Specifics:
Number of Beds: 20
Patient Ratios: 2:1, sometimes 1:1 depending on acuity.
Unit staffing description: Occasional nurse extern working as a tech.
Type of equipment: Ventilators, EVDs, CRRT, SLED, EV 1000, traction.
Documentation system: Meditech
Procedures performed on unit: Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, EVD insertions.
Requirements:
Certifications: ACLS, BLS.
Scheduling requirements: Minimum weekend requirement is 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Schedule is done in 4 week increments.
Self-scheduling to an extent. Manager will move shifts to balance out schedule.
Floating policy: Contract labor is first to float. If the staffing need is in med/surg, contract labor is expected to float to med/surg and take the assignment.
Patient Experience requirements: Expected to provide attentive and compassionate care to patients/family members.
Must have: Active RN license. ACLS. BLS. ICU experience.
Advanced skills needed: Trauma experience preferred.
Dress Code: (Required uniform) Navy scrubs, tops and bottoms.
Slate Healthcare Job ID #7f8e0f1d-3c6a-499d-8d4e-6d569ae8b22a. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
