Education Manager

Promotes delivery of safe patient care through development of clinical staff. Serves as clinical resource to nursing staff, leadership, and medical staff. Engages staff in continual performance improvement and learning.
Maintains pertinent educational records to ensure evidence of compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborates with Department Managers/Directors to enhance retention and competence of staff. Assists with remediation of staff and documents actions and progress as required.
Serves as professional role model within nursing. Serves as mentor in the development of peers and staff.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
Master's degree in Nursing, Education, or Health Administration preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of diverse clinical practice in an acute care environment required.
Previous staff development or education experience preferred.
Required Skills
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS)
AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) preferred
NA Instructors: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) only required
Required Licenses
Registered Nurse
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
National certification in nursing professional development and clinical specialty preferred.
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS instructor status preferred.
