With over 500 providers, at Saint Alphonsus we take a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Our practice is QOPI certified and accredited with the Commission on Cancer through the American College of Physicians.
As part of our team, you'll work alongside a robust team of hematology/oncology physicians, bringing cutting-edge treatments to our communities. We also take pride in our innovative programs, including lung cancer screening, lung nodule clinic, advancements in neuro oncology, and robust clinical trials through the Montana Cancer Consortium.
Support:
Full-service cancer center with medical, radiation, and surgical oncology
Nurse navigators, social work support, genetics counseling, and nutritionist services
Dedicated 10-bed inpatient unit with full-time Oncology Hospitalist
Call is 1:9, evenings and weekends (hospitalist coverage M-F, 8-5)
~ Work in Ontario, OR (on the Oregon/Idaho border - 1 hour from Boise) 3 days a week and do outreach in Baker City, OR (1 hour from Ontario) 1 day a week

successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Internal Medicine residency and a Hematology Oncology fellowship; Board Certification in Internal Medicine, as well as Hematology Oncology or obtain such certification within three years of employment; obtain Oregon and Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC Ontario, SAMC Baker City and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.

ABOUT THE FACILITY Saint Alphonsus Health System is a growing four-hospital, 714-bed, 74 clinic integrated healthcare system serving southwestern Idaho, eastern Oregon, and northern Nevada. ABOUT THE COMMUNITY Ontario , located in Oregon's only county inside the Mountain time zone, and in Malheur County Oregon, has a 2023 population of 11,650. 4 years for males, and 35.1 years for females.
