Registered Nurse, PACU, Full-Time, Evenings, Baptist Jacksonville

Baptist Health is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at our Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville location. This is a Full-time Evenings 11:00 AM-11:00 PM position. As a Registered Nurse in the PACU, your daily responsibilities will include monitoring post-operative patients' levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia. Educating patients and their families on post-surgery care as well as updating charts, patient files, and medical records will be an important aspect of this role.
Providing for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement organization.
* Supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services.
* Including patients and significant other (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
* Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
* Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case, assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case.
* This position requires call rotation.
