The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.
Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
About this unit:
~36-bed critical care step-down unit.
~ Patients with post open-heart procedures, pulmonary, cardio vascular, no vents, stroke, diabetes DKA, insulin drips, Cath Lab (post stent or Stemi), Trauma
~ Very team-work oriented unit, genuinely care about one another and provide support in times of high patient volume.
~ You will get a broad exposure and spectrum of patient, very fast-paced unit, one patient discharges the next is waiting to be admitted from the ER.
~ Great opportunity to gain critical care experience and this is a unit that historically has not had Tech support, great time to be a Patient Care Technician and gain some experience with higher acuity patients

Our Outpatient Services include a Surgery Center, Advanced Wound Care Center, Pain Center, Sleep Disorder Center, Imaging, and Rehab.
