Job Description
Support Workers make a positive difference in someone's life. You will be making a real change to the lives of the people you provide support for and their community of friends and family. Support Workers also make a difference to client's lives’ by leading a fuller, more compassionate life.
Duties include:
  • Assisting with meal preparation
  • Household chores, administering medication.
  • Accessing community facilities, going shopping, meeting friends.
  • Assisting with doctors’ visits, or providing general emotional support
  • Personal Care, including bathing, dressing, Feeding and assistance with ambulation.
What are the qualities of a good Support Worker?
  • Respectful. As a person ages and their independence and mental capacities reduce, it's easy to fall into the trap of being patronizing. Ask questions and watch for facial or body language.
  • Empathetic. Empathy is one of the most important qualities any Support Worker needs to have.
  • Reliable with the ability to motivate others to be as independent as they possibly can within the confines of their physical and/or emotional state.
  • Patient with the ability to motivate others.
  • Joyful disposition with ability to build clients’ self-esteem and self-confidence.
  • Practical understand the limitations of others.
  • Observant with the ability to encourage his or her clients/residents/patients to be as active as possible.
  • Caring and compassionate in nature.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 per hour with weekly pay

Physical setting:
  • Long term care
Weekly schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Stone Mountain Location: 7:00AM-3:30PM (2 PPL needed) as well as 3:00PM-11:30AM (3 PPL needed)
We also have Douglasville location 3:00PM-11:30PM ( 1 person needed) as well as 11:30PM-7:30AM (2 PPL needed)
  • Weekends are required
Experience:
  • Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
