We are hiring for a Senior Principal Software Engineer to serve as the Coyote Launch Systems Software Lead in the Software Engineering Directorate's Effectors Center supporting the Coyote & Rapid Development programs (CRDP) portfolio of products.
The Coyote Launch Systems Software Lead is responsible for managing all cost, schedule, and execution for Software Engineering activities to deliver Launch System capabilities on the program. The Software Lead is responsible for leading the team that plans and executes all stages of software development and testing for these capabilities in the software builds. The Software Lead will also be responsible for directly contributing to SW design, development, integration, and test of the Coyote Launch System software. In addition, the Software Lead will be the primary Software Engineering interface to the customer community, program management, and other stakeholders.
This position is within the Effectors Center of the Software organization, and is an onsite role located in Tucson, AZ.

• Manage the execution of all assigned work scope, determine the allocation of personnel within the team to perform that work, and review and approve any contract deliverables before delivery to the customer.
• Support growth through launch manager roadmap development, proposal development and the deployment and continuous improvement of people, processes, and tools.
• Represent the interests of the Software Engineering Directorate on the program.
• Extensive interaction with Program Managers, Chief Engineers, Directorate Managers, Department Manager, SW Chief Product Owners, and Systems and Performance IPT lead.
• Responsible for developing a team capable of delivering the Coyote Launch manager software capabilities, integration plans, test plans, verification items, analysis scripts, test procedures and test reports.
• Responsible for interface and coordination with internal and external organizations for Software Engineering
• Identification, establishment and implementation of best practices and lessons learned.
• Represent the Raytheon Software Engineering team to the customer during regular programmatic and technical meetings.
*Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other STEM related field and 10 years of relevant experience
• Secret government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience in missile systems design and performance requirements development.
• Experience using C/C++ language
• Experience developing, testing and/or integrating real-time software.
• Formal Qualification Testing (FQT) experience.
• Experience using scripting languages (Python is preferred).
• Experience using the Agile software development process.
• Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Certified and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
