General Summary of Duties: Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Requires strong clinical and critical thinking skills along with strong IV skills. Must be able to multi-task in a very fast-paced medical office setting. Example of Duties: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned) * Performs general nursing care to patients. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards. * Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients. * Observes, records, and reports patient's condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians. Dispenses medication as directed. * Assists when necessary with appointment bookings and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations. Maintains timely flow of patients. * Greets patients and prepares them for physician examination. Screens patients for appropriate information. Instructs patients in collection of samples tests. * Arranges for patient testing and admissions. * Responds to and refers incoming telephone calls. Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. * Maintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results. * Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Prepares list of medical supplies needed. * Attends required meetings and participates in committees as requested. * Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations. Attends conferences and workshops. * Maintains patient and office confidentiality. * Performs related work as required. Education: Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Experience: Computer experience required. Certificate/License: Possession of a Florida State Registered Nurse License Bond Clinic is a Drug Free Workplace and an equal opportunity employer.
