Monitors medication therapies and prescribes medication changes as necessary in accordance with established protocols.
* Conducts assessments to detect the presence of movement disorders and other side effects of medication therapy and prescribes treatment as indicated in accordance with established protocols.
* Initiates laboratory monitoring associated with psychiatric treatments and interprets and evaluates results.
* Conducts physical examinations in response to inmate complaints, establishes preliminary diagnosis and prescribes treatment or refers to the physician in accordance with established protocols.
