Physical Therapy Assistant, Acute Care Full Time Days

Our ideal candidate is internally motivated, prioritizes caseloads efficiently, communicates easily with other members of the healthcare team and considers themselves a lifelong learner. For new grads or candidates transitioning into acute care we offer a robust mentor program designed to acclimate you into the hospital setting. Because this is an acute care position, there is a weekend requirement, so we work with you to create a schedule that best meet both your needs and those of the department. Evening and weekend differentials are provided.
Under the general supervision of the manager of rehabilitation, provides and documents the full range of physical therapy treatments and tests to all patient populations served. Please be advised that candidates must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment health screening which includes a drug screen.
Minimum experience of student affiliation in acute care preferred, resulting in fulfillment of entry level competency standards as defined by APTA or experience as a PTA in acute care.
Graduation from an accredited college leading to degree in physical therapy assistant and able to sit for board exam. Able to read, write, and speak English.
Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
