Visits new Catholic patients within 24 hours of admission,
Performs initial assessment of patients to ascertain their spiritual and religious needs,
Responds to patients' spiritual needs as soon as possible and/or make appropriate referrals,
Documents effectively in a timely manner,
Participates in problem solving and decision making processes which enhance patient care in collaboration with other care givers,
Acts as mediator and/or advocate for the patient, family and/or domestic partner,
Demonstrates a willingness to be flexible with unplanned assignments as necessary,
Anointing of the Sick, Sacrament of Reconciliation, Sacrament of the Eucharist,
Responds to specific needs of the units to which the chaplain is assigned
Roman Catholic Priest or Sister in good standing: Strong skills in Pastoral Care and/or Pastoral Education: team player; Hospital and Parish ministry experience preferred. Work Experience Required
Ministry as Chaplain in a hospital setting or equivalent.
