About the unit
3E/G is a unique team structure at Blodgett Hospital composed of two separate units but one team. 3E is a 24 bed Med/Surg unit with some Medical Orthopedic patients while 3G is a 22 bed Orthopedic unit primarily serving Total Joint Replacement Patients. Our team works on both units, providing a variety of patient population experience including Total Joint Replacement, Hip Fracture, Osteomyelitis, and other medical patients. The program has received and maintained Joint Replacement Disease Specific Certification from the Joint Commission as a testament to our teams’ dedication to provide high-quality care.

This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health.
