Welder – Thermal-Refrigeration STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

The Welder position is located Caldwell, Idaho and will be responsible for reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the requirements for the project or assignment.  You will be joining metal parts together using heat, pressure, and /or filler materials while ensuring a safe work environment by wearing required PPE and following safety guidelines.

Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and positioning them in place.  
Set up, operate, and maintain the welding equipment.  
Analyze drawings, blueprints, sketches, work orders, and safety data sheets to plan the layout, assembly, and operations.   
Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on the requirements or project assignment.   
Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions.   
Ensure that quality checklists are completed, as each step is completed.    
Prepare material surfaces to be welded to ensure there is no slag, rust, grease, and there is no loose or thick scale.   
Inspect finished welding projects to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. 
Certification in welding from an accredited intuition preferred.
~2+ years of welding experience required – preferably in a manufacturing or heavy equipment industry.   
~ Experience with welding machinery, electrical equipment, and any manual tools. 
~ Knowledge of a variety of different welding techniques.  
~ Understanding of the manufacturing industry.  
~ Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day. 
Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds. 
Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
