Engineering Project Manager-

SUMMARY Plans and coordinates the work of engineering staff, overseeing their activities to ensure goals and objectives are met. Recruits additional engineering staff as needed and conducts timely and constructive performance evaluations. Designs engineering strategies.
Verifies project compliance with engineering best practices.
Updates department policies and procedures.
Develops engineering standards and modeling practices.
Conducts site surveys and collects information for IFC drawings.
Incorporates feedback from fabrication and the field to improve quality.
Estimates project costs with applicable margins and reviews with Senior Leadership for proposals to clients.
Provides load/capacity planning input to support the overall schedule.
Develops and tracks KPIs with the Director of Operations to drive improvement.
Ensures products meet customer specifications and are made from specified materials/drawings.
Manages and delegates assignments within the engineering department.
Directly supervises all engineering positions, ensuring quality control of all engineering design documents released for fabrication. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Proficiency in CAD systems and quick learning capabilities.
3D modeling experience, preferably in SolidWorks.
Knowledge and understanding of cutting steel plate, forming plate utilizing press brakes, welding of plate, and assembly.
BS in Engineering or Architecture or equivalent field/work experience.
TRAVEL Ability to travel out of state for training or customer visits as needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret and enforce a variety of legal and regulatory publications.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Professional Engineering Certification or Architectural equivalent desired but not required.
