Louis, Missouri metro and surrounding areas, including neighboring areas in Illinois, as well as Cumberland, Maryland. We also transport individuals and families to and from appointments or simply when they need a ride.
Join our dedicated team as a Non-Emergency Stretcher Driver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and reliable transportation services for individuals requiring non-emergency medical care. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of patients, ensuring their safety and comfort while en route to medical appointments, facilities, and treatment centers. Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and their residences using a non-emergency stretcher vehicle.
Secure patients onto the stretcher and in the vehicle according to safety standards and company policies.
Monitor patient condition throughout transport and report any changes or emergencies to the appropriate personnel immediately.
Complete and submit accurate transport documentation, including patient care records and service logs.
Ensure the vehicle is clean, sanitized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance issues and ensure the vehicle is in proper working order.
Comply with all traffic laws, healthcare regulations, and company policies during patient transport.
Attend ongoing training sessions to stay current with best practices in patient care and transport safety.
Valid Class E driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift and move patients weighing up to 250 pounds, with assistance
Experience in healthcare or patient transport preferred
Excellent navigational and driving skills
Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Familiarity with the operation of stretchers, wheelchairs, and other patient mobility equipment
Time management skills to ensure timely patient transport
