The New Customer Development Leader will be responsible for generating profitable new DSD business by leading a team of fully trained Sales Prospectors that will focus on new customer acquisition, as well as, the retention and growth of those customers during their first 8 weeks of service by ensuring excellent in-store execution and customer service. The New Customer Development Leader will spend a minimum of 5 days per week managing the entire solicitation process within assigned area, will have an active market presence, measure execution and service levels.
Actively cultivate a network of potential and existing clients, executing innovative and effective go-to-market strategies to win newbusiness.
* Seek out and build relationships with franchise owners associations and regional chains for new business opportunities
* Motivate and empower the team of Prospectors to achieve high volume of sales related activity, in the development and presentation of compelling sellstories.
* Execute and close sales calls, focused on value-added selling activities in specified accounts.
* Communicate account and market knowledge to Sales Center, to include information on new customers, product orders and service startdates.
* Ensures the execution of world class merchandising standards in theaccount.
* Assures account and customer standards are met, including assuring proper POSis executed and proper maintenance of companyassets.
* Creates business partnership with customer by reviewing business results with customers and resolving customer inquiries and issues during first 8 weeks of storeactivation
* Tracks their team's daily, weekly and monthly call activity and performance measurements against assigned goals and expectations
* Achieve the field safety goals; deliver on safety awareness programs accordingly to eliminate unsafe acts, eliminate workplace injuries, and lead local organization to achieve the goal of zeroinjuries.
* Success will be measured by: * Deliver on key performance indicators for revenue, volume, controllable expenses (freshness and inventory) and 70% POS penetration in order to achieve the key objectives for assigned salesarea.
* Successfully contributing to a robust pipeline of new business that provides the road map for sustainable and profitablegrowth
* Research and compile operational data, forecast and analyze trends and track and improve performance
* Assist with research, presentation writing and new businessdevelopment
