Physician Hematology and Medical Oncology

The Cancer Health Service Line at Corewell Health is seeking Hematologist-Oncologists to join our growing team of employed providers Corewell Healths Cancer program is a collaboration of hospitals and community providers. This position will provide outpatient cancer and hematology services at Corewell Health Gerber Cancer Center, located 1-hour away from downtown Grand Rapids. Corewell Health also has a comprehensive radiology program with port placement.
This position offers an enhanced compensation package, generous starting bonus, and relocation allowance
Assesses and monitors the medical needs of patients/significant others.
Provides quality medical services to patients in a cost effective, appropriate manner and ensures coverage of case load at all times.
Provides input into the development of policies and procedures as they related to medical practice and quality patient care.
Evaluates patients'/significant others'/staff educational needs and develops and implements appropriate teaching strategies or delegates to appropriate resources.
Documents in a manner consistent with regulatory standards.
Communicates with other members of the health care team in order to ensure continuity of care and coordination of services. Participates in ongoing process improvement activities through the development/application of clinical paths, process improvement and other related activities. Actively works with Corewell Health to meet financial and patient satisfaction goals.
