Vascular Surgery Services:
Midstate Medical Center Vascular Surgery Services is a rapidly growing department. This team has an established record of excellence and provides on the job training both in and outside of the operating room. The Vascular Program at Midstate Medical Center is equipped to handle highly complex vascular cases on a daily basis.
Hartford HealthCare's Midstate Medical Center is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a very enthusiastic team in the Vascular Surgery Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for various functions including first assisting in the operating room, rounding, bedside procedures and consults. Identify and provide teaching for patients, families, and other health care providers

Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program required
Experience: 3+ years working as a First Assistant in the operating room is preferred. This should not dissuade new graduates to apply as we understand work ethic supersedes experience in certain situations.
Knowledge of the surgical procedures performed in the various surgical specialties and the supplies and equipment used in those specialties. Ability to react and perform under strict timelines and/or emergency situations. With locations around the state, Hartford HealthCare offers exciting opportunities for career development and growth.
