The Role
We are seeking an experienced and investing-oriented Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and play a key role in driving the financial strategy and performance of our portfolio of consumer software businesses.

As the CFO, you will be responsible for all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and the build out of our finance and accounting function.

You will set and oversee budgets, work alongside our executive team to evaluate the overall success of the company, drive acquisitions strategy including identifying and executing on acquisition opportunities, drive capital raising (equity and debt) efforts alongside the CEO, and drive investor relations with board members, lenders and equity investors.

What You’ll Do

Develop and execute the financial strategy for our consumer software portfolio, including short and long-term financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and capital allocation.

Oversee financial analysis, modeling, and reporting to provide insights into business performance, identify areas for improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with executive team members to evaluate potential acquisition targets in the consumer software industry, perform financial due diligence, and structure deals that align with the company's growth objectives.

Drive the acquisition financial integration efforts, working closely with acquired companies to streamline financial processes, implement standardized reporting, and optimize financial performance.

Manage cash flow, working capital, and portfolio budgets to ensure optimal capital and resource allocation to support growth initiatives across the portfolio.

Manage the company's capital structure and fundraising activities, including equity and debt financing, while optimizing the company's capital position.

Implement and maintain robust internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations within the software industry.

Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance and accounting team, fostering a high-performing culture and facilitating professional development.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. MBA or CPA qualification is highly desirable.

Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably as a CFO or finance director within a highly acquisitive rollup, private equity-backed company or software company.

Strong understanding of industry dynamics, including consumer subscription software business models, recurring revenue streams, product development, and user acquisition strategies.

Experience with financial modeling, analysis, and valuation methods specific to the software industry, such as assessing customer lifetime value (LTV) and recurring revenue metrics.

Solid knowledge of financial reporting standards, regulatory compliance, and financial systems within the software industry.

Strategic mindset with a track record of driving financial performance and contributing to the growth of a software company or similar industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing finance team.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, board members, and external stakeholders.

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
