~ Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers by performing limited repairs with moderate supervision on basic and advanced maintenance such as replacement of light bulbs, fuses, lenses, wiper blades, belts, hoses, batteries, check fluid levels, change fluids and filters, and lubricate components.
Perform mechanical repairs under moderate supervision including the repair of brakes and brake inspections, engine tune-ups, suspensions, drive trains, transmission clutches and other repairs.
Maintain complete and accurate records of all maintenance work completed on vehicles including parts and supplies used
Assist Tech III with preventative maintenance (PM’s), safety maintenance inspections and annual maintenance inspections at prescribed intervals of time and usage
Remove and replace engines, transmissions, and differential assemblies with Maintenance Technician III supervision.
Diagnose and perform all phases of vehicle and equipment repair under moderate supervision.
Notify supervisor of potentially dangerous equipment and corrective action taken
Repair and maintain all shop equipment
Class B CDL with passenger endorsement required (or expected within 3 months of hire)
State inspection license (if required)
ASE testing program provided with the expectation of completing 3 ASE in first 12 months
Intermediate mechanical aptitude and 3 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred)
Adhere to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards
Intermediate computer skills
Possess adequate mechanic tool inventory to complete all assigned duties and maintained in a clean and safe manner
