We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher who is interested in developing the special curricular trajectory and goal management for each student as well as overseeing and training staff to the student’s goal procedures while reporting to the Site Director. 
Our mission is to raise the standard of Special Education in our community
Full-time, 8am-4pm Monday through Friday, year round school setting
We offer free snacks and meals in our employee kitchen. We participate in local and state events whenever we can. We do continuous training with our staff and have dedicated one day a month as well as half-day Fridays to education and professional development.

Professional background in Applied Behavior Analysis Seeking further education in Special Education and/or Applied Behavior Analysis
• Professional background and/or professional training in working with children with moderate to severe disabilities ages 3-21
• Professional background and/or professional training in working with children who exhibit severe/challenging behavior
• Professional background working with children to teach functional communication skills both vocally and using AAC devices.

Must hold or qualify for a Washington teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement.
• Training or willingness to be trained in QBS Safety Care de-escalation and crisis management techniques including physical management / restraint & isolation procedures

This position must be able to respond quickly to active and aggressive children, adolescents, and young adults ages 5 to 22. Physical response may include evasion, and/or performing approved escorts, holds, and restraints to maintain student and staff safety. Equipment Used

Office equipment including copy machine, laptop, ipad, and phone
Hand tools including hammers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and painting supplies
Kitchen appliances including oven, airfryer, and dishwasher
Cleaning equipment including mop, vacuum, and handhelds
Noise Conditions: exposed to moderate and occasional loud noise from students, toys, and normal school equipment
thereby, potentially at risk for exposure to bloodborne pathogens
