*Kidzcare Pediatrics is a busy pediatric practice with 3 locations based in Athens, Harriman, and Madisonville, Tennessee. Our mission is to provide quality healthcare for children, while promoting the education of their families in communities that need it most. We also believe in delivering a joyful, fun experience to both children and their families while visiting a medical provider.
*The Pediatrician will specialize in the care of infants, children, adolescents and young adults. They will promote wellness and education about the prevention of illness and health and direct care for all patients that come to our clinic.
Assess the health status of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults and develop appropriate plans for health supervision and illness management.
* Formulate a holistic, culturally-sensitive, family-centered plan of care recognizing the child and family are active participants.
* Provide comprehensive health assessment by teaching, counseling, and advising children and their families about growth and development, health status, illnesses, management plans, and health promotion, disease and injury preventing activities and provide anticipatory guidance.
* Provide age-appropriate education based on growth and developmental factors, cultural and belief variables and family systems.
* Provide appropriate child and family education regarding purpose, regimens, side effects, possible interactions of medications and/or treatments, cost, and alternative treatments or procedures.
* Coordinate care, make appropriate referrals, and facilitate systems intervention to assure quality care.
* Promote growth and development of infants, children, adolescents and you adults.
* Use prescriptive authority, in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations to treat illness, improve health status, and provide preventive care.
* Participate in periodic chart reviews with other providers in the practice as part of ongoing quality assurance.
* Take call on weekdays, weekends and holidays in rotation with the other providers in the practice and will examine and treat patients during regular office hours and, when on call, during evenings, weekends, or holidays.
* Utilize current medical guidelines for management of medical problems.
* Promote good will through community involvement when possible/appropriate.

* *MUST be willing to travel between Crossville & Harriman, TN*
* Doctorate in Medicine degree, required
* Valid TN Medical Doctor license required
* Experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
* Medical, dental, and vision insurance
