Overview of the Acute Care Unit:
Our unit is designed to adapt to varying patient needs, and nurses may care for a mix of ICU, step-down, and medical-surgical patients depending on acuity levels. Consisting of 30 beds, including 9 with ICU step-down capabilities and 21 for medical-surgical patients. We provide specialized care to patients requiring acute medical treatment. As a community hospital, we are dedicated to serving our local population with the highest quality care. We strive to provide excellent care so that our patients choose to receive treatment here rather than traveling to other hospitals. Our commitment to community-centered care ensures that patients feel supported and valued.

Provides leadership which facilitates the delivery of professional nursing care for the comfort and well-being of patients. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Preferred Experience: One year hospital nursing experience
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enroll in a BSN or advanced degree program and obtain a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering will be accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions, or extensions, may be approved by the facility CNO and reported out to the CNO Council members. Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions should this information be needed. Required License/Certifications: Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider
