The Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine Department of Surgery is seeking a dedicated and talented Academic Burn Surgeon to join our faculty at the Loyola Burn Center and contribute to our mission of providing the highest quality of burn care available for individuals suffering from burn and soft tissue injuries, while actively working to improve the current standard of care.
The center is verified by the ABA and ACS and holds a special distinction in the state of Illinois as the Illinois State Burn Center. We offer comprehensive burn care to adult and pediatric patients, provided by a team of exceptional professionals from all relevant disciplines including general surgery residents, advance practice providers, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, nutritionists, pharmacists, basic scientists, psychologists, and social workers all of whom are dedicated to and specialized in burn care.
A medical degree and board certification/eligibility in Plastic or General Surgery with added qualifications in surgical critical care and completion of a burn-care fellowship is required. This is a full-time faculty position and salary will be commensurate with experience. Interested candidates should also have a strong interest in teaching residents and medical students and the successful candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor.
