Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Infectious Diseases

Provides pharmaceutical care according to professional standards and practices and complies with all Federal and State regulations in the practice of Pharmacy at Virtua. Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy services to include serving as the Pharmacist Co-Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship program along with the ID Physician Co-Lead for the health system. Reporting data and metrics, both internal and external to Virtua. Performing audits and review that will lead to process improvement and better patient outcomes. Additional responsibilities include working on system-wide guidelines and protocol standardization and education for the pharmacy department and other clinical departments as needed. Participation in Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee, in addition to precepting pharmacy residents and pharmacy students. Virtua is a five hospital health system which includes patient populations such as mother-baby, pediatrics, cardiac surgery, abdominal transplant, and neuro / neurosurgery, critical care, and surgical groups (for example: colorectal, orthopedic, bariatric, obgyn, thoracic).
Infectious Diseases and sub-specialties) to develop and maintain specific routine monitoring criteria for these patients.
• Represents the Pharmacy Dept. Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree or BS and comparable clinical experience. PGY-2 in Infectious Diseases Preferred
Training/Certifications/Licensure:
Active New Jersey pharmacy license. #
