Job Title: Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeon in San Gabriel Valley, CA.

This is a California position located in the San Gabriel Valley, extending into the regions of Anaheim and Pomona.

About the Role:

Southern California Heart Centers is a high-volume regional leader in Cardiovascular Surgery seeking to add one to two full-time additional surgeons to their prestigious team and thriving practice.

Required Qualifications:

  • Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
  • Unrestricted California Medical License
  • Current California DEA Certificate
  • Current BLS, ACLS certification
  • Excellent skillset in Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery with good outcomes in Coronary Surgery, Valvular Surgery, Arrhythmia Intervention and with experience in Minimal Access Approaches (looking for at least 10 years of experience)
  • Well-versed in CABG, multi-valve, robotic CABG, and robotic lung

Practice Overview:

  • Call schedule will be 1-3 with 1 to 2 weekends per month
  • Average of one clinic day per week, clinics are located within one mile of hospital
  • Full PA support for floors, intensivists, hospitalist support, and full PA surgical support intraoperatively

About Us:

The group has been integrally involved in advancing the practice of cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. They were the first to perform endoscopic vein harvesting in the western states, and have been a pioneer in the development of pericardioscopy, endoscopic ablation, offpump mitral valve repair including robotic interventions, off pump CABG since 1993. The group was instrumental in the development of clampless aortic technology, minimal access laa occlusive technology, and automated coronary anastomotic technology. The group has been named in the top cardiac surgeons roll for the last 23 years. This position is located ten miles northeast of Los Angeles, in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley - home to its largest city, Pasadena, which is known for the Rose Bowl, fine dining, and entertainment. From its inception, Southern California Heart Centers strives to be a leader in patient care Nuclear Cardiology and in the use of state-of-the-art technology. We transitioned to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in 2005, five years before the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services established the federal standard for EMR, and we were a pioneer in obtaining the ICAEL accreditation in Echocardiography and Stress Echocardiography in 2002.
