Job Details

Specialty: OR Tech Number of suites: 22 capable of expanding to 26 (on 3 different floors) Average number of cases per day: 50-65 Common cases include GYN/Uro/Vascular/Plastic/Ortho (total hips/knees)/Neuro/Cardiovascular/Thoracic/General (Breast/HPB/Bariatric)/Sports Med (Hand/Podiatry)/Kidney (or kidney/pancreatic) transplants, ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid), Large and complex cases, Robot-Davinci Xi (Gyn, Uro, General).16 total different service lines

Job Requirements

One year of experience in scrubbing First time travelers okay ENT (FESS (sinus), septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, laryngoscopy in addition to soft tissue - thyroid/parathyroid) Davinci XI experience required (Gyn, Uro, General)

Schedule Information

4-10 hour shifts, variable days and start times Mon-Friday Start times: 0630, 0900, or 1100 No self scheduling; start times kept consistent for the same week Tuesdays and Fridays - later start times for in services and team meetings One call total (weeknight or weekend) per 4 week schedule Weekday call begins at the end of shift until 7am next morning Weekend call is 24 hours (7am to 7am), scheduled by manager Call response time: 30 Minutes; call room available

Charge Nurse/House Supervisor available No weekend or holiday call requirements Floating requirements: None Scrub color/dress code: Teal scrubs provided Unit/Department specific orientation: HR and OR leadership; Scavenger hunt - 2 days with a surgical tech
