Shearer’s Foods, the leading manufacturer of private brand and contract-manufactured salty snacks, cookies, and crackers, is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Super-Pufft, USA (formerly UTZ). This acquisition aligns with Shearer’s growth strategy and demonstrates our commitment to providing high-quality snacks to better serve our customers. By combining the strengths of Super-Pufft Snacks, USA, and Shearer’s, we anticipate enhanced operational efficiencies, improved supply chain capabilities, and increased geographical reach.
We at Shearer’s have plans to immediately expand production and continue to grow the team in the Bluffton facility as well as continue to service our key customers. We have the following shifts available for immediate hire:
Afternoons - 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM Monday - Friday, $19.38 per hour plus an .40 shift premium
The hand kettle operator is responsible for making good quality product. The operator is required to work with Quality Control to make sure all items we run are in spec. They also required to work with the PMO in packaging to assure everything is running at required speed.
Assure kettles are at proper oil level and correct oil is being used
Enter all required test in Infinity on an hourly basis
Make sure we are using correct potato bins using FIFO
Work with Quality Assurance to make sure kettles are at the correct FFA
Work with PMO’s in packaging to ensure we have good change over’s and start-up’s
Use required safety equipment
Observe all plant Good Manufacturing Practice
