is seeking a Structure & Payload Design Engineer 2 in Everett, WA.

Job Responsibilities:

This is a Provisional/Short-term contract opening for those interested in becoming direct employees before the end of the contract
Contractors must proactively participate in direct hiring application and receive/accept a direct offer to continue employment beyond 6 months
Requests for contract extensions for this position will not be considered.Assists to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
Develops, maintains and modifies basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
Performs tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Assists with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree and typically 2 or more years experience in an engineering classification or a Master of Science degree with typical experience in an engineering classification from an accredited course of study in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Civil
ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Preferred Qualifications:

CATIA or other CAD/3D drawing experience.Working with layouts/drawings.Design integration experience working with suppliers and global partners.
