Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ophthalmologist to join our healthcare team. As an Ophthalmologist, you will specialize in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of eye conditions and diseases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ophthalmology, a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, and a passion for contributing to the field of eye health.

Responsibilities:

Patient Examinations:

Conduct thorough eye examinations, including assessments of visual acuity, refractive errors, and ocular health.
Diagnose and treat various eye conditions, such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
Surgical Interventions:

Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, laser eye surgery, and corneal transplantation.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to surgical patients.
Prescription of Corrective Measures:

Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and medications to correct vision problems and manage eye conditions.
Ocular Disease Management:

Manage and treat diseases affecting the eyes, including infections, inflammations, and degenerative conditions.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
Pediatric Eye Care:

Conduct eye examinations for pediatric patients to detect and address visual impairments and eye disorders.
Provide appropriate interventions for pediatric eye conditions.
Patient Education:

Educate patients on eye health, preventive measures, and treatment options.
Offer guidance on lifestyle factors that impact eye health, such as nutrition and eye safety.
Qualifications:

Medical Doctor (MD) degree with specialization in ophthalmology.
Board certification in ophthalmology.
Valid medical license and compliance with state of Vermont.
Proven experience as an Ophthalmologist.
Surgical proficiency and experience in various ophthalmic procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
