The Red Hat Services Portfolio Management team is looking for a Senior Portfolio (Product) Manager focused on product management and evangelism to join us remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for creating tools, techniques, templates to increase awareness, enthusiasm, and confidence for selling Services through a portfolio go-to-market approach.
As a part of the Services Portfolio team, you will work closely with senior technical and business associates globally and cross-functionally within Red Hat, our partners, and our customers. You will play a key role in tieing existing and emerging Services offerings together into a dynamic portfolio that addresses market opportunities and drives Services and Red Hat subscription growth.
Successful applicants must reside in a country where Red Hat is registered to do business.
What you will doPartner with cross-functional regional contacts to ensure that Red Hat’s sales, services, and partner audiences can successfully position and sell the Services Portfolio offerings. Where appropriate, designs and builds additional tools, techniques, and templates to empower sellers and delivery teams in alignment with the offering positioning.
Help with ROI analysis and develop content to help customers make the business case for our offerings; work with technical and marketing teams to develop customer evidence and map them to emerging use cases for solutions
Understand customer problems and pain points through primary research and review of external and internal research sources (analyst reports, Red Hat customer surveys, etc.). Independently meet with sales teams, customers and prospects to understand their challenges and represent Red Hat Services capabilities. Summarize findings for review, incorporate into business cases, and share knowledge with others across Red Hat.
Use metrics to evaluate and communicate the success of the Services Portfolio evangelism activities in support of Red Hat business development initiatives
7+ years of product or solutions management or marketing experience along with experience collaborating on and contributing to strategy, planning, development, and marketing integration for IT services and solutions
3+ years of experience in the technology industry, including specific experience in guiding adoption of emerging cloud and application technologies and practices, e.g., Kubernetes, containers, n-tiered application architecture, service-oriented architecture (SOA), DevOps, or microservices; consulting and services delivery experience is a plus
General understanding of Red Hat’s portfolio and underlying technologies
General understanding of hybrid cloud market, architecture, and the role of Kubernetes and containers in hybrid clouds
Ability to effectively communicate concepts and initiatives in a compelling manner to audiences ranging in size, background, and responsibility to guide buy-in, adoption, and engagement
Collaborative, detail-oriented, motivated, inventive, professional, approachable, creative, and analytical; competent leader and problem-solver
Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or engineering, or in business administration with demonstrated technical expertise; master’s degree is a plus
Flexibility to work in ambiguous situations and find creative solutions; start-up experience is a plus
The salary range for this position is $[128,000 min]- $[211,000 max]. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.”
