Registered Nurse Cardiac Care Unit Weekends

Sign-on bonus: Every Saturday and Sunday 7:00am - 7:00pm
Hospital: 5 West, Cardiac Step-Down is a private 24 bed unit that specializes in cardiac care for patients who have had open heart surgery. The step-down unit treats chest pain patients, patients that have had heart caths, patients requiring cardiac drips and any other kind of patient that needs closer step-down care. Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
