MedStar Health is looking for  an   Interventional Radiology Technologist  t o join  our   team
The ideal candidate will be  a registered Radiology Technologist with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work independently.
As a n Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will  assist interventional  radiologists in the performance of complex diagnostic and therapeutic angiographic procedures.  Provides patient care as needed and documents medical procedures.  Join one of the largest healthcare systems in the Baltimore-Washington metro  re gion, also recognized as one of the "Healthiest Maryland Businesses". Utilizes immobilization devices and radiation protective measures during the operation of imaging equipment. 
Evaluates radiographs for technical accuracy and quality. Assures that studies are properly  identified and filed in patient film jackets. 
Utilizes physical assessment skills,  monitoring devices (pulse, respiration, blood pressure, EKG), intravenous care and aseptic techniques in  providing patient care. 
Completes required quality control and quality assurance records, and summarizes services  rendered for statistical reports.  Ensures that supply levels in the procedure rooms are  adequate and notifies the individual responsible for ordering replenishment stock when  appropriate . Associate degree  or  1+ years formal training in an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology .
~4+  months of  job-related experience in the performance of angiography and other complex radiological examinations.
