Job Description

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a casual Hospitalist. This individual is a healthcare professional who possesses advanced knowledge in direct patient care as a physician. The physician is responsible for promoting critical thinking skills, development, competency, professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. This individual must be self-motivated and self-directed in all related areas and promote a working environment that is positive and encourages high morale.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an approved school of medicine. Completion of residency and internship program in area of specialty where applicable

Licensure: Current licensure in the State of West Virginia Board Certified or eligible in appropriate specialty with approved medical staff privileges.

Certification: BLS ACLS required.

Prescriptive Privileges: Comply with West Virginia Code related to attaining and maintaining limited prescriptive privileges.

Experience: Completion of residency/internship with direct patient care contact. Ability to perform procedures as credentialed and other direct patient care activities.

Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively withclients, staff and other health care providers. Ability to use equipment needed for a thoroughphysical examination.
