Responsible for supervision and patient care management for a select program and/or a defined workgroup. Maintains regulatory and professional standards/requirements. This role will provide leadership in the areas of training, clinical oversight, completion of competencies and acts as a resource to management in daily operations.
Uses the nursing process to provide patient care. Demonstrates knowledge and awareness of unit practice, issues, trends, and technology/instrumentation. Assists others and provides feedback to staff on setting priorities for action and anticipating patient care needs. Provides direct patient care through application of the nursing process. Applies nursing process to the development, implementation and evaluation of nursing care. Consistently collects and analyzes patient/significant other data. Records initial database, ongoing assessment, and evaluation of patient responses. Develops, revises, and documents plan of care including discharge planning in collaboration with the patient, significant others, and health care providers. Assists in the identification and resolution of Quality improvement issues specifically related to patient care. Facilitates/monitors ongoing activities to meet regulatory standards. Promotes departmental philosophy and fosters a positive, caring and collegial environment. Monitors/reports compliance with departmental policies and procedures. Evaluates team performance and provides appropriate feedback. Assists in implementing performance improvement activities. Assists in implementing performance improvement activities. Facilitates staff PI/QI education and participation. Recognizes opportunities for QI process, participates in the designs and implementation of the design of these processes.

Assists with the completion of performance appraisals. Generates and/or participates in development of the departmental schedule and manages daily staffing operations. Assist with the preparation and execution of staff assignments and patient throughput. Investigates select budgetary variances and approves and documents staffing variances. Follows Chain of Command for assistance with issues related to unresolved/problem-solving and/or conflict resolution. Bachelors, Nursing, Required
s Degree, preferred in Nursing. Master?s Degree in a health related field with certification in a nursing specialty will be considered in lieu of a Masters in Nursing.
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
