Licensure/Registration/Certification: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider Certification; Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
* Level II: 1 year medical/surgical nursing experience; minimum 1 year psychiatric nursing experience; knowledge of computer and basic programs.
Adheres to and complies with all regulatory standards globally to profession and specific to unit.
* Understands and is able to prepare patient for invasive and / or noninvasive medical procedures ensuring universal protocol compliance.
* Understands and is able to administer medication per physician's orders adhering to the hospital approved patient identifiers, following the 5 rights of patient medication administration.
* Understands the procedures to ensure continuity of patient profile/kardex and/or procedure preference cards or other unit specific tools, in a timely manner. Assures continuity of patient care assessment and reassessment as per policy.
