A local Fairview Company that does the coating of glass and plastic bottles with artwork is looking for a qualified paint technician. The qualified individual will have experience with mixing solvents and paints and have good color perception. There is OT daily. Monday to Friday. 530am to 4pm so you MUST HAVE YOUR OWN TRANSPORTATION.

Responsibilities

Identify the corresponding formulas based on reference numbers previously established.

Measure and mix the ingredients in the formula according to the specifications.

Take mixed paint mixtures to the production lines for use by the technician.

Manage all assigned coating lines so that production remains operational.

Label all paint materials properly.

Maintain clean and organized personal and shared mixing areas of the paint room, storage room, including the area around the paint tanks at each spray booth.

Follow all regulatory procedures for proper handling, labelling, storage, and disposal of all hazardous waste.

Unload delivered paint from warehouse to the designated storage area using the FIFO system.

Qualifications and Skills

Basic math competency.

Good eyesight and color perception.

Must have basic English communication and reading skills, to understand work instructions, paint formulas, and safety issues.

The position involves standing, reaching, stooping, bending, walking, and moderate lifting throughout the workday.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Must be able to work around solvents, paint fumes daily.

Must have own transportation or a reliable ride, due to hours of this position you cannot utilize the public transportation for this position.

Benefits/Compensation

Full Time

First Shift: 530 am-4:00 pm M-F

Pay Rate is $16 per hour $18 upon hire.

Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
