Position: Medical Systems Engineering Technologist III
The UHS HTM Medical Systems Engineering Technologist III (MSET III) performs evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive
maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients at UHS facilities, affiliates, and other institutions that have
Manages projects. Focuses his or her performance to ensure that all patients receive

Assists UHS HTM leadership with developing and strengthening facility and vendor relationships.
Responsible for executing and meeting all requirements of the established key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Documents and maintains records of all work activities in the computerized maintenance
management software. schedule/rotation as directed. Travels to other sites from primary location as directed/needed. employs all regulatory requirements. Understands and properly operates all test equipment

Experience with healthcare technology management programs
Must possess skill-set of advanced modality HTM expertise such as clinical laboratory, medical imaging,
radiation/oncology, real-time location systems, alarm management middleware or high-end biomedical
devices such as device integration/networking, catheterization lab/electrophysiology monitoring systems
Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, capital planning, etc…)
Understanding of regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC,State, Local)
Advanced/Strong computer skills (proficient with Microsoft products), experience with CMMS products
Strong planning and organization skills. Travel will be required periodically
